Violinetta® is a bag created from a unique distortion of the curves of the “Cannone” Violin, made in 1743 in Cremona by master Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesù. It was the violin of Niccolò Paganini, who gave it this name in homage to its powerful sound.
Different and successive geometric transformations give it a new, individual, and recognizable appearance.
Bold in its shapes, yet rigorous in its volumes and proportions.
The Cremonese designer Biancamaria dreamed of it as a child, but it took her a lifetime to shape it in its final form, letting it take shape, day after day, in her mind; then she needed another 7 years of drawings, tests, attempts and failures, studying the curves and perfect geometries of Cremonese violin making, to design it exactly as she had imagined.
It is made entirely in Italy, in collaboration with prestigious artisanal companies of advanced manufacturing, using composite fibers, coatings with leathers and precious materials, chosen with extreme care and attention, and precision mechanical processing of metal and wood. For Violinetta® to exist, centuries of music and art, beauty and knowledge, imagination and creativity, traditions and unparalleled manufacturing excellence, handed down from master to pupil, and mixed together in the city of Cremona, in this overwhelming little piece of our wonderful land called Italy, were necessary.
Violinetta® is a love letter to the city of Cremona and its violins.
In the land where everything flows slowly, on the edge of distortion, yet remaining perfectly recognizable.
